Welcome spring a little early with a hands-on painting workshop at 210 Gallery.

In this free workshop, Winnipeg artist Jackie Turnbull will guide participants step by step in creating their own version of her piece They Call Me Robin on a small square canvas. Along the way, participants will learn some of the basics of acrylic painting, including paint mixing and how to paint a robin. Registration is free, but required, and spots are limited.

What to Expect
This workshop is a chance to slow down, get creative, and spend an afternoon painting in a welcoming gallery setting. Jackie will lead the group through the process in a clear, approachable way, making this a great fit for beginners as well as anyone who simply wants to enjoy painting with others. The focus is on learning, making, and taking home your own spring-inspired artwork.

About the Artist
Jackie Linda Turnbull is a self-taught Winnipeg-based artist and seasonal Interlake resident. She has studied acrylic painting and other art-related subjects as an adult student, and her work is often whimsical or impressionistic in style. She is especially drawn to nature, with birds, animals, and restful outdoor scenes appearing often in her work. Jackie is a member of Creative Manitoba, MAWA, Manitoba Arts Network, and the WAG.

We have reached capacity for both time slots. We will host more free workshops in the future, stay in the loop by following us on Instagram :)
